Since Harris Teeter is doing Super Doubles starting Wednesday (confirmed) and it seems that Lowe’s Foods will too (I do not have the ad for them yet)- here is a comparison of their rules & then my commentary on shopping at each.

[table id=5 /]

Shopping at Harris Teeter:

-Be sure to load ALL the evic coupons you can.  You can load through HarrisTeeter.com

-At Harris Teeter you can use a digital coupon (E-vic) and a paper coupon.

- If your store is out- get rainchecks!  You can make super deals with them later on. HT Rain checks NEVER expire!

-PLAN your trips.  Planning is key because you are limited to 20 coupons & 3 “like” coupons.  You will want to maximize them- not wonder around the store trying to decide what to buy!

Shopping at Lowe’s Foods:

-Lowe’s Foods does not allow the stacking of digital and paper coupons.

- If your store is out- get rainchecks!  While it may not be a super deal- you still may be able to get a good deal.  LF rainchecks expire in 30 days.

-PLAN your trips.  Planning is key because you are limited to 20 coupons & 3 “like” coupons.  You will want to maximize them- not wonder around the store trying to decide what to buy!

-Use a reusable bag- you will save 5 cents per bag- which just may help with the taxes on your free items!

-You will get 5 cents in fuel rewards for each $100 you spend.

You can see the full list of Super Doubles deals for Harris Teeter and Lowe’s Foods on MSM.

What’s the rule about using internet printed coupons? Is there a limit? Thanks for all your hard work Jessie!!

You can use 2 “like” internet printed at either store. Lowe’s Foods- if it does not scan they will not accept it.

Ok, but is there a limit if they are not “like”, can I use all internet printed for my 20 coupon limit? Sorry to be a pest!

NEVER a pest Molly- it’s my pleasure! You can use all 20 internet printed so long as long as they are in sets of 2 “like” or less :)

Guess what… Lowe’s Foods will not issue rainchecks for out of stock items during super doubles. I just read it on their website. They have a pdf of rules just for the super doubs. Just a heads up! Another reason why I LOVE my Harris Teeter!

We dealt with this last time- they mean they won’t give rain checks for the Super Double promotion. They will still give rainchecks for the sale price.

I just wanted to let you know the website is inaccurate about the internet coupons. The limit is 3 coupons wether it is clipped or internet. You can call corp to verify this. They changed it way back in the spring/summer last year when they changed the coupon policy that allows the bogo offer of 2 coupons. The only limit is NO free internet coupons.

Erika- according to their written policy is it 2 like coupons: this is on their website under internet coupons “With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day. ”

http://www.harristeeter.com/promotions/online_coupons/coupon_policy.aspx

No stores in my area allow more than 2 like internet coupons per day, so if that has been changed they have not informed the stores.

I never thought about rain checks. Clearly I am living under a rock, but I never knew HT gave them out! That is great news! I will keep that in mind on my trip tomorrow!

What is Harris Teeter’s policy about rainchecks during super doubles or triples? Thanks!

Using rainchecks: You can use them and use coupons too. Obtaining rainchecks: You will get a RC for the sale price but NOT the super double coupon.
