Family Frugal Fun

My family LOVES to have fun. We love spending time together. With four children ranging from 2 months to 10 years, it can be pretty expensive to go to an amusement park or even a movie! So for the month of August I will be exploring our options for “Family Fun, Frugal Fun”. Every day I’ll share another inexpensive but fun idea!

Day 1: Color!

It’s amazing how calming coloring is!  My kids love coloring and often ask to have “coloring contests” where we each color a picture and they “judge” them.  Some how the child judging always comes out the winner…..

Crayons, colored pencils, markers… the medium doesn’t really matter.  It’s a great chance to spend time together.  Crayons and coloring books are extremely inexpensive but the time spent together creating masterpieces: Priceless.

Even if you don’t want to keep the actual colored pages- take a picture with your camera phone and save it as your screen saver!  My kids’ art work always makes me smile!
