Pear & Green Apple Sauce
 
Ingredients
  • 4 pears, cut into small pieces
  • 3 green apples, cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
  1. Put diced pears, apples and water into a pan.
  2. Simmer over medium heat until the fruit is soft and most of the liquid evaporates, about 25 minutes total.
  3. Remove from heat and using a masher mash the fruit to the consistency desired. Sprinkle with cinnamon and mix well.
  4. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
