Pear & Green Apple Sauce
- 4 pears, cut into small pieces
- 3 green apples, cut into small pieces
- ½ cup water
- ¼ tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Put diced pears, apples and water into a pan.
- Simmer over medium heat until the fruit is soft and most of the liquid evaporates, about 25 minutes total.
- Remove from heat and using a masher mash the fruit to the consistency desired. Sprinkle with cinnamon and mix well.
- Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
