My husband loves the fresh fried chips at restaurants. He’ll take those over fries everyday – but in an attempt to keep our eating out budget under wraps I’ve taken to remaking his restaurant favorites at home. And in an attempt to keeping our waistlines in check I’m trying to make them a bit healthier.
That means baking instead of frying. These chips turned out SO delicious and were SO easy I had to share it!
Ingredients:
2 large potatoes
Olive oil or spray non-stick spray (whichever you prefer)
Salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 and get a cookie sheet.
- Use a Mandoline Slicer to slice potatoes thin and even.
- Spray pan with non-stick spray or brush cookie sheet with Olive Oil.
- Place potato slices on pan and brush tops (or spray) with oil.
- Sprinkle with salt as desired.
- Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Check and bake longer as needed until chips are beginning to brown and crisp.
- Do not over bake.
- Serve with dipping sauces of choice.

These sound quite simple and delicious. I love that you found a way to make them healthier. I will have to make these as a treat for the kids and the hubby. I would love for you to stop by and share on my weekly recipe linky, Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen.
Have a great day

These look delicious, and to be honest chips are my weakness. I totally have to try these. I’m also going to add them to my Pinterest Board, “totally got to try recipes”
