I had several packages of thin sliced cheese that was about to expire. I’d already given some away but knew I wasn’t going to make it to the Food Pantry before it expired. So I decided to try to make baked cheese crackers.
They are super easy but trust me when I say that you MUST use parchment paper. I tried an blank baking sheet. Failure. Silicon baking mat. Failure. Parchment paper- SUCCESS!
Ingredients:
Thin Sliced Cheese of choice (I used Swiss & Cheddar)
Parchment Paper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line pan with parchment paper.
Place cheese apart on the paper.
Using a pizza cutter (a knife works too but a pizza cutter is easier) cut each into fourths and separate.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until crispy.
Allow to cool and transfer to a air tight container.
We ate ours with soup!
