I had several tall patio chairs that had good frames but the fabric was ripped. I had already replaced the fabric once and because these chairs are in the weather all year long I wanted something that would hold up better.
Materials:
- Boards for the seat (You can buy pre-cut boards the size of your choice or we cut pieces out of a 2×4)
- Self-Drilling Screws (They go thru the wood and then into the metal frame)
- Stain or paint
- Countersink drill bit
Instructions:
- Remove the chair frame and the old fabric
- Cut wood the width of the chair frame
- Attach each piece of wood to the frame with the self-drilling screws (Countersink them at this time)
- Use a piece of wood the size of the spacing you want between each piece of wood to make sure all the pieces are evenly spaced. Attach all the pieces.
- Stain or pain the wood
I love how these turned out and the best part is I won’t have to worry about them for years.
