I am thankful for a large stockpile right now but it won’t last forever! Here are some easy DIY cleaners to try without having to buy “fancy” ingredients!
*Always test a small unnoticeable spot before using new cleaners.
Empty Spray bottles make it easy
All-Purpose Cleaner
- One Part White Vinegar
- One Part Water
- Lemon Rind
Combine together in a spray bottle (like this one), shake and allow to sit for a week to allow the lemon scent to infuse. Do NOT use on granite or stone. You can skip the lemon rind if you need to use it right away…but still don’t use on granite or other stone.
Glass Cleaner
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol (70% concentration)
Pour into a spray bottle and wipe windows as usual. (Tip: Use newspaper instead of paper towels)
Toilet Cleaner
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup vinegar
Sprinkle baking soda into bowl and then pour vinegar and allow to fix while scrubbing.
Bathroom Scrub
- Baking Soda
- Dish Soap
Really no measurement here- I put the baking soda in the tub and just a squirt of dish soap to help scrub. Scrub as usual.
