My kids were always fighting over the toothpaste. “She touched it with her toothbrush!” “He wiped it with his fingers!” I finally had enough and decided to get each kid their own toothpaste and toothbrush holder.
I couldn’t find anything I liked in the stores so I decided to make my own! It was super easy and with a little trip to the Dollar Tree and some spray paint I had on hand – it took less than 10 minutes (plus dry time)
Things you need:
Glasses from Dollar Tree
Letter Stickers from Dollar Tree
Spray Paint (Glass friendly) I used this Krylon 2439 ‘Fusion for Plastic’ Satin Pewter Gray Plastic Paint – 12 oz. Aerosol
What to do:
Wipe each glass and let it dry
Place the letter sticker on the glass. Be sure to press it down really well especially around the edges
Place upside down on the painting surface
Coat with paint well
Allow to dry completely
Remove the sticker
No more fighting!
Tips:
-To remove the sticker use a pin to poke through the sticker in the middle if you try to peel from the edges it can pull the paint up leaving jagged edges
-If you want 2 colors coat with base color, allow to dry then add the sticker and paint a second color.
-You could make stripes, butterflies, hearts….whatever stickers you have!
