I have been collecting bottle caps for awhile. I was excited to finally have a project where I could use them. This is an easy and fun ornament to make. You could use larger lids and let your children make some too or use three different size lids for each snowman!
Materials:
- Bottle caps
- White spray paint
- Ribbons
- Buttons
- Hot glue gun
- Thin permanent markers
Instructions:
- Paint the bottle caps with white spray paint
2. Draw a face on one bottle cap and buttons on another with permanent markers
3. Cut a piece of ribbon twice as long as the three buttons and hot glue the plain button to the end of the ribbon. Then hot glue the cap with the buttons next putting glue on the ribbon and between the caps.
4. Hot glue the cap with the face next last glue on the ribbon and between the caps.
5. Turn over and put a dot of hot glue on the back near the top cap and fold the ribbon back to make a loop.
6. Turn the snowman over and glue a small piece of ribbon on the back to be the scarf.
7. Turn over and put a dot of hot glue below the cap with face and criss cross the ribbon to make the scarf. Then, glue a button on the scarf.
