Make it Mondays: Fireplace Prop

We had an event where we needed to make a backdrop with a Christmas Theme and we included a fireplace in it.  We took a fake fireplace we purchased at a thrift shop for $12.00. We painted it and then added a piece of plywood to cover the firebox opening and glued slices of wood on it.

Materials:

• Fireplace
• Plywood
• White paint
• Slices of wood

Instructions:

1. Paint the fireplace hearth
2. Lightly paint over the bricks
3. Attach plywood over the firebox opening
4. Glue different size slices of wood onto the plywood

This fireplace worked out great and really added to the backdrop.
