Make it Mondays: Macrame Coasters

I love how these coasters turned out. They don’t take very long to make and are washable too!

Materials:

• Twisted 100% Cotton 4mm Macrame Cord
• T-Pins and board

Instructions:

1. Cut one cord 80″
2. Cut six cords 30″
3. Tie a slipknot about 10″ from one end of the 80″ cord
4. Attach the six cords inside where you just made a slipknot using a larkshead knot, then pull it tight making a small circle
5. Take the long end of the 80″ cord and lay it in over the cords in the circle tying a clove hitch knot with each cord
6. Continue over and over until the coaster is about 4″ across. You will need to add additional cords as you go around where there is gap between cords
7. Tie off the cord with an overhand knot
8. Cut the cords for the trim  a few inches long and untwist
