I used some left over metal hanger straps to make these Halloween decorations. They were quick and easy and you can make any size you want. You could get creative and make other things like a witch or ghost.
Materials:
- Metal hanger straps available at HomeDepot.com
- Orange and black spray paint
- Bolts and nuts to hold it together
- Small candles
Instructions:
- Cut the metal strapping into the size you want the pumpkin or spider to be
- To make the pumpkin cut at least 8 straps, lay them on top of each other and connect the middle hole with a bolt and nut.up to make a ball and put another bolt and nut on the top hole of each strap.
- To make the spider do the same thing but make one oval for the body an a smaller round one for the head and then connect the head to the body with a bolt.
- I added some heavy wire for the spider legs by just putting 4 pieces thru the holes in the strapping from one side to the other to make 8 legs.
- Spray paint the spider black and the pumpkin orange
- Put a candle (real or battery) in side
That is all there is to it. Enjoy.
Love this project but don’t want to do it yourself? Check out Creations by Ra-Re and see if it’s still available!
