Make it Mondays are brought to us by Creations by Ra-Re. Ra is a Kindergarten teacher by day and crafter by night. Re is a pre-k teacher/bookkeeper/content curator and avid DIYer. Their Store, Creations by Ra-Re, is a collection of unique hand-made collections.
Children love to pretend it is their birthday. This will make a fun addition to any play kitchen.
Materials:
- Thick wood (2″-3″)
- Spray paint (Colors of your choice and primer)
- Drill (use a bit a little larger than the dowels you choose or the candle)
- Dowels for candles
- Wood biscuit for flames
- Sticker or decal for decorations
- Tray for cake
Steps:
- Cut wood in a circle the size of your choice (sample is 8″)
- Cut circle into four equal parts
- Drill holes for candles
- Cut dowels to desired length
- Drill small hole on top of each candle
- Cut down one end or biscuit to make a point to glue into candle
- Paint all pieces with primer
- Paint all pieces desired color
- Decorate with decals or stickers
