I found a $10 mail in rebate for Christmas Trees at Food Lion (Thanks Heinkein) but since we are still using the artificial tree my family purchased about 5 years ago I had no need for it. Knowing that two of my sisters recently purchased Christmas Trees I called them. Neither had their receipt.
If they had – they’d have an extra $10 in their pockets. Since no one in my family had a use for it- I offered it up in our Facebook group and they got snagged within just a few minutes.
It’s always a good idea to keep any receipt – no matter how small – for at least 60 days. Just today I sent off receipts for over $50 worth of items I purchased and found a rebate for later! I am getting over $50 back on money I had already spent.
A few tips for keeping the receipts organized:
- I put a sticky note on them and list the categories of items such as “Produce”, “Meat”, “Seasonal”. This way when a rebate for $5 back when $5 worth of produce is purchased I can quickly see which receipts have produce on them.
- Keep them all together. Knowing where they are is key to sending them in!
- Keep a record of the rebates sent in. Check them off as they are received. I use this: MSM Rebate Tracker

I heard of rebates from the alchol companies at Food Lion. I asked my local one (Clemmons) and they didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. . Does it vary from store to store??

It will vary by what the manager allows them to put out.
