If you want a quick and easy Gingerbread decoration this is it!

Materials:

• 2×4 pieces
• Brown paint
• White Puffy Paint

Instructions:

1. Cut the 2×4 any length and cut a pointed roof
2. Paint wood pieces with brown paint
3. Use the white Puffy Paint to draw icing on the roof and to outline the windows and doors

Set the Gingerbread Houses around the room and you have a quick and easy decoration.

 

 

This project only takes a few minutes and I used pallet wood.

Materials:

• Pallet wood cut to desired length
• Piece of pallet wood for hat brim
• Piece of wood for base with slit for planks of wood
• Paint (I used black, orange and white)
• Wood glue
• Nail gun

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Paint the base
2. Glue three pieces of pallet wood into base and nail with nail gun
3. Paint the planks white
4. Paint the hat brim then attach it at an angle with glue and a nail gun
5. Cover the lower part of the snowman and paint the top part to be the hat
6. Make a template for the nose out of a piece of paper to paint the nose

This snowman is perfect for a porch or just in your yard.

 

My daughter had a beautiful country table with 6 chairs but it was green and it didn’t match anything in her house. We sanded it down, stained the top of the table and the chairs and painted the rest of it white.

Materials:

• Orbital Sander with coarse and fine sand paper
• WinMax Stain
• Polycrylic
• Rust-Oleum Furniture Paint

 

Instructions:

1. Sand the top of the table and the chairs to bare wood
2. Sand all other surfaces lightly to take off the gloss
3. Stain the top surfaces
4. Paint all other surfaces
5. Apply 3 – 5 coats of Polycrylic to all stained surfaces following directions on the can and 1 coat of Poycrylic to the white surfaces

Let dry for 24 hours and then you are set to use your new table!

 

 

 

 

 

I was updating my kitchen a bit and decided to make a paper towel holder out of pipes.

Materials:

• 3/4″ x 8″ pipe with threads (You could just use a 12″ pipe but I wanted to use what I had on hand)
• 3/4″ x 3″ pipe with threads
• 3/4″ pipe connector
• 3/4″ flange
• 3/4″ Cap
• Wrench
• Metallic spray paint

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Simply Screw all the pies together and tighten with a wrench. Wipe it off with mineral spirits and then spray with spray paint.

 

 

 

 

I had several old dinosaur jelly jars from the 80’s. I thought rather than throw them away I would uses them to store things.  I was able to find all the supplies to make this project in my garage.

Materials:

• Thin wood
• Hole saw
• Wooden pegs for legs
• Wooden door knobs for handles
• Sandpaper
• Spray Paint
• 2 sided wood screw to attach the handle to the leg

 

 

 

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of wood the length to fit the size of your jars
2. Use the hole saw to cut holes to fit your jars
3. Drill holes for the legs/handles screws
4. Paint all the pieces and let dry
5. Put all the pieces together

I gave this holder to my grandson and he is using it for crayons, pencils and markers but you could use it for bathroom supplies or office supplies too!

 

I had an old single size headboard and it worked perfect for a small bench.

Materials:

• Headboard
• 2×4 Boards (For frame)
• Deck Boards (For seat)
• 3×3 post (For front legs)
• Paint of your choice
• Screws
• Sander
• Lag Bolts (To hold frame to legs)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Cut the legs on the headboard the height you want
2. Cut the front legs from the 3×3 post the same height as you want the bench to be
3. Make a frame out of 2×4 boards on the inside of the legs of the headboard the length of the headboard and the width you want
4. Sand all surfaces
5. Attach the frame to the legs with a lag bolt
6. Cut decking boards the length of the bench and use screws to attach to the boards to the top of the frame using as many boards as you need to cover the frame you made
7. Paint as desired (I painted the bench boards before attaching to frame since they were a different color)
8. I painted the bottoms of the legs since the bench will be outside in the elements

Let it dry and enjoy it!

 

 

My daughter wanted some earrings and I had some old ones laying around. I found some old twine and used the ear wires and made these earrings in a flash.

Materials:

• Ear Wires
• Thin twine

Instructions for Each Earring

1. Cut 6 pieces of twine 3 times longer than you want the final earring to be
2. Fold each piece of twine in half and attach each piece of twine to the ear wire with a larkshead knot
3. Make 2 square knots using only 1 cord in the center of each square knot.
4. Do this with the remaining cords so you will have 3 columns of 2 square knots rows
5. Alternate and make 2 square knots with the center cords making two columns
6. Alternate again and make 2 square knots in each of the 3 columns
7. Alternate and make 2 square knot with the center cords making 2 columns
8. Use the center 4 cords make 2 square knots
9. Cut the cords off as long as desired
